Why we publish
The guides and service pages on this site exist to help Metro Vancouver homeowners make informed decisions about their heating, cooling and hot-water systems. Our goal is plain, useful information, not hype.
Where the content comes from
Our content is written and reviewed by the HeatLand team and draws on our hands-on experience installing, repairing and maintaining HVAC systems in homes across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Where we describe how a product works or reference a manufacturer feature, we base it on publicly available product information.
Accuracy and fairness
We aim to describe equipment, costs and options accurately and even-handedly. General pricing, efficiency and rebate figures change over time and vary by home, so we present them as guidance rather than guarantees, and we point readers toward an on-site assessment for anything specific to their situation.
Keeping content current
We review and update pages as products, programs and best practices change. If you spot something on this site that looks out of date or incorrect, please tell us and we will look into it.

HeatLand is an independent HVAC contractor. We recommend the equipment we believe fits a home best, based on the needs of that home.
