Why the Return Line Goes Cold

A hot-water recirculation loop pulls heated water from the tank, sends it through the supply piping, and brings the cooled water back through a dedicated return line so the whole loop stays warm. When you feel a cold return, it almost always means flow has stalled or heat is escaping faster than the system can replace it.
